The Rhine falls are located

on the High Rhine

between the cantons of Schaffhausen and Zürich, very close to the town of Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland.

The Rhine Falls

were formed in the last ICE AGE

approximately 14,000 to 17,000 years ago.

Boat Trips

can be taken up the Rhine to the falls.

They are 23 metres (75 ft) high and 150 metres (490 ft) wide.

The Rhine Falls

are easy accessable.

There are several platforms and view point to take pictures and get very close to the water.
